Susan Dalby

Susan grew up catching turtles, lizards and snakes in NC and AZ. After discovering actual college credits could be earned doing field natural history courses, she earned a BS and then MS in Ornithology at UA. She and husband Eskild stumbled upon the gem Wells Gray while on a road trip many years ago. Since then Wells Gray has been their treasured refuge, and they have spent much time photographing and learning about the natural history of the area. She and her husband, both retired physicians, now divide their time between the Upper Clearwater Valley and Portal, Arizona. She believes passionately in preserving the world’s special wild places for future generations.
